
DR. CARLA T. GALBRAITH
Dr. Carla T. Galbraith holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Education in Cross-cultural Teaching, and Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. She is a K-12 school administrator in Northern California and has worked in the educational field for over twenty-four years. Her passion is the academic achievement gap and the concept of dual consciousness. These topics were addressed in her dissertation entitled, A Phenomenological Study of Top Performing 12th Grade African American High School Students, published in 2010. In addition to school administration, she remains relevant in current academic trends as a university doctoral advisor and thesis mentor.
Dr. Galbraith specializes in organizational leadership and college preparedness. Her work as an educator, researcher, and facilitator is lauded as she assists students and families in post-secondary pathways. In the community, she is an active presence as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc., serving as a financial officer and executive board member for both organizations. As a valued member of the NBOT she serves on the budget committee and Logistics team. In ministry, she is a licensed missionary and active in the local, district, and national levels of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. in the International Music Department, International Youth Department, International Women’s Department, and COGIC Charities. In 2021, Dr. Galbraith was newly elected to the National Board of Trustees.
Dr. Galbraith is daughter of Bishop Albert Galbraith and Mother Carolyn J. Galbraith of the Northern California First Jurisdiction. She resides in Sacramento, California.
